- Super Capacitors:
- C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6, C7
- Bridge Rectifier:
- D1 (for AC to DC conversion if using an AC source)
- Inductor:
- L1, L2
- Diodes:
- D2, D3, D4, D5, D6, D7
- Switch:
- SW1 (for manual control)
Basic Connections-
Bridge Rectifier Setup:
- If you're using an AC source, first rectify it using the bridge rectifier D1:
- Connect AC input to D1:P2 and D1:P3.
- Connect D1:P4 (DC positive) to the charging circuit input.
- Connect D1:P1 (DC negative) to the ground.
-
Charging Regulator and Current Limiter:
- Insert a constant voltage charging IC or a voltage regulator (e.g., LM317) between the rectified voltage source and the super capacitors to control the voltage.
- Use a current limiting resistor to control the charging current.
-
Super Capacitor Charging:
- Connect the output of the voltage regulator to the positive terminals of the super capacitors (C1 to C7).
Example Connections:-
Voltage Regulator:
- Output to the positive terminal of super capacitors.
- Input receives rectified voltage through a current limiting resistor.
-
Super Capacitor Chain (assuming series connection for higher voltage):
- Connect C1:Anode to regulator output.
- Connect C1:Cathode to C2:Anode.
- Continue connecting capacitors in series until C7.
-
Manual Switch:
- Connect SW1 between the voltage source and the charging regulator to control charging.
Circuit Outline:- Connect D1:P4 to the input of the voltage regulator via a current limiting resistor (e.g., 10 ohms).
- Connect the output of the voltage regulator to C1:Anode.
- Connect C1:Cathode to C2:Anode, and so on until C7.
- Connect C7:Cathode to ground.
Assumptions:
