Below is a schematic update suggestion that will connect the I2C bus, pull-up resistors, and decoupling capacitors:
Schematic Net Connections:
  1. I2C Bus Wiring:
    • Connect the SDA pin of U2 to the SDA pin of U1 on a net labeled "I2C_SDA".
    • Connect the SCL pin of U2 to the SCL pin of U1 on a net labeled "I2C_SCL".
  2. Pull-Up Resistors:
    • Wire R1 such that one end is connected to the "I2C_SDA" net and the other end goes to the 3.3V rail.
