The last ERC issue is fixed by adding a standard 10 nF capacitor on the 555 control pin. The circuit now includes both 100 nF supply decoupling and 10 nF control bypassing, which makes the oscillator more stable on a 9 V battery supply.
Added the full 9 V blinker schematic: J1 battery snap, SW1 on/off switch, U1 555 timer, R1, R2, C1 timing network, R3 + LED1 output stage, and C2 + C3 for 555 stability.
Wired the circuit completely: battery positive goes through SW1 to the switched 9 V rail, U1 is configured in astable mode, and the LED stage is connected to the timer output with correct polarity.
Chose beginner-friendly through-hole parts and timing values of 10 kΩ, 68 kΩ, and 10 uF, which calculate to about 0.99 Hz, very close to the target one blink per second.
Reviewed ERC and fixed the only issue by adding the standard control-pin bypass capacitor.
Success criteria review
✅ The circuit powers from a 9 V battery through a user-accessible SW1 on/off switch.
✅ The 555 astable around U1 is configured for approximately 1 Hz blinking.
✅ All parts are simple, basic, and hand-solderable through-hole components.
✅ The schematic is fully connected and ERC checks are clean.
Next steps
If you want, I can next set up a simple PCB layout for these parts with generous spacing for hand soldering.
Wirelessly connects nets on schematic. Used to organize schematics and separate functional blocks. To wirelessly connect net portals, give them same designator. #portal
