Completed so far:
Renamed the project to USB-C WiFi BLE Environmental Node and updated the description/properties.
Selected and added the main schematic parts:
U1 ESP32-C6-WROOM-1-N8 WiFi/BLE MCU module
U2 SHT40-AD1F-R2 temperature/humidity sensor
J1 USB4215-03-A USB-C receptacle
U3 TPS25940LRVCR eFuse for reverse/OVP/UVLO/OCP protection
U4 AP2112K-3.3TRG1 3.3 V LDO
USB data ESD protection, VBUS TVS, BOOT/RESET buttons, and status LED
Checked the key datasheet requirements:
ESP32-C6 needs 3.0–3.6 V supply, 0.5 A-capable 3.3 V rail, EN RC delay, USB on IO12/IO13, and antenna keepout later in layout.
SHT40 needs 1.08–3.6 V, I2C pull-ups, and 100 nF decoupling.
TPS25940 supports 2.7–18 V input, programmable UVLO/OVP/OCP, true reverse blocking, and needs resistor dividers/current-limit/dVdt components.
AP2112K needs input/output capacitors and supports 600 mA output.
Remaining work:
Add the passive support parts: decoupling, bulk caps, USB-C CC 5.1 kΩ pull-downs, eFuse divider/current-limit/dVdt parts, I2C pull-ups, EN RC, LED resistor.
Wire all power, ground, USB, I2C, BOOT/RESET, and protection nets.
Run ERC/review and fix violations.
Create the power-budget, firmware starter, and board bring-up documentation.
After schematic verification, ask for your approval before moving to layout.
Wirelessly connects nets on schematic. Used to organize schematics and separate functional blocks. To wirelessly connect net portals, give them same designator. #portal
