Pink text usually means you’re selecting the component’s built-in footprint text/reference, not an independently movable text object.
Try this:
Click the component.
In the right-side properties panel, look for Designator, Reference, or Silkscreen text settings.
If there are fields like X/Y position, offset, rotation, or visibility, adjust it there instead of dragging.
If it still cannot move, hide the built-in designator and add a separate silkscreen text label manually where you want it.
In many footprints, the reference text is part of the footprint definition, so Flux may not allow free-dragging it directly unless the footprint exposes text placement controls.
Yes — you can print silkscreen on the bottom of a one-layer PCB if your board manufacturer supports bottom silkscreen.
A “one-layer PCB” usually means one copper layer, not necessarily one silkscreen layer. Silkscreen, solder mask, and drill layers are separate fabrication layers.
Key points:
Bottom silkscreen is allowed on a single-copper-layer PCB.
If the board has copper only on the bottom, you can still have silkscreen on top and/or bottom.
Some low-cost fab options may include top silkscreen only by default.
If you place text on the bottom, it will appear mirrored in the PCB editor so it prints correctly when viewed from the bottom side.
Avoid putting silkscreen over exposed copper pads, holes, or areas without solder mask.
For your DPDT switch PCB, bottom silkscreen is fine as long as you enable/export the bottom silkscreen layer and your fab accepts it.
Wirelessly connects nets on schematic. Used to organize schematics and separate functional blocks. To wirelessly connect net portals, give them same designator. #portal
