Start a new project
The project is currently blank; no schematic or PCB work has been added. To get started, what device or problem do you want this hardware project to address?
I read the Smart Coaster hardware brief: an 80 mm circular, single-sided controller node with a load-cell clearance opening, 24 SK6812 RGBWW LEDs, ESP32-C3 + CAN, NAU7802 weighing front end, protected 12 V pump output, USB-C programming/power, and a 12 V → 5 V → 3.3 V power tree. A 2-layer board is feasible in principle, but I’d validate routing density, the antenna keep-out, LED-current return paths, and pump/load-cell separation before committing; 4 layers may be justified for signal integrity and ground continuity.
Key mechanical items still needing confirmation are the load-cell/bar clearance height, anchor-boss footprint/location, and exact enclosure mounting-hole coordinates. I would initially reserve a rounded rectangular central opening approximately 44 × 20 mm with a component-free low-profile corridor around the bar path, pending enclosure CAD.

Bar corridor: no height limit — the enclosure sets the bar height. Keep connectors out of the corridor and report the tallest component that ends up under the bar path so the CAD can set the boss height.
I’ll build the Smart Coaster around an explicitly reserved load-cell bar corridor, then verify connectivity, mechanical clearance, and the resulting maximum component height in that corridor.
