Yes, you can group components together in Flux using the "Convert to Component" feature. This turns them into a single sublayout. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Select all the components you want to group.
  2. Right-click and select "Convert to Component".
In order for the component group (or sublayout) to be usable in a project, it must have terminals for connections. If the components you've grouped don't already include terminals, you can add them in two ways:
  1. You can add terminals to the components before using the "Convert to Component" option.
  2. Or, after converting to a component, right click on the generated sublayout and select "Open". Once inside the sublayout, you can drag the terminals to the desired positions and then publish the changes.
Remember that sublayouts are a great way to reuse portions of a circuit that are consistent across multiple projects.

In Flux, the ground layer is automatically added, it just hides it by default so you can focus on the routing.
You can follow the steps below to show the ground layer:
  1. To enable fill visibility, first click on the "Layers" icon in the lower-left section of the canvas. Every layer of the PCB will be displayed here.
  2. For the layers that support copper fills (like the ground layer), you can toggle the view of the fills by clicking on the paint drop icon next to the layer.
  3. If you still don't see the ground fills, the routing may still not be completed. The fills will be automatically applied around all other objects, with some default clearance, once the routing in the board is finished.
  4. After all the work is done, you can see how your PCB layout is encased in the ground fill. By default, the fill clearance (distance between fill and other objects) and min-width (minimum width of the fill path) are set, you can adjust these parameters as per the requirements.
Remember that it's advisable to enable the fill visibility after you've completed routing. Before you send the board for manufacturing, make sure to check all these steps.
