When selecting power regulators, ensure they support the total load current plus a 25% buffer. The LM7805 is rated for 1 A, so budget at least 1.25 A of headroom.
Consider VOUT tolerance and line regulation accuracy (±4% typical → ±200 mV) when the output rail drives sensitive circuitry.
Don’t forget the datasheet-specified input and output capacitors close to the regulator for stability.
