Part Review and Datasheet Update

Done - I added the missing Datasheet URL property and pointed it to the official Quectel PDF.
I followed the part-review workflow of using the datasheet as the source of truth, checking existing project properties first, then comparing terminals and footprint data against the datasheet-defined package information

Symbol / pin / footprint cross-check What the datasheet clearly shows
  • Mechanical outline and antenna dimensions
  • A pad pattern showing 9 x 1.50 pads along one side
  • Host-PCB implementation guidance
  • Ground-plane dependence
  • Optional tuning with a PI matching circuit
What the datasheet does not clearly define
  • No schematic symbol
  • No pin definition table
  • No explicit pad numbering map
  • No explicit feed-pad vs ground-pad naming in the extracted text

AreaProjectDatasheetResult
Terminal count2 terminal elementsDatasheet drawing suggests 9 physical solder padsPotential mismatch
Pin numberingProject uses only 5 and 6Datasheet extract does not provide numbered pad definitionsCannot fully verify
Pin descriptionsMissingDatasheet extract does not provide explicit pin descriptionsNot verifiable
Footprint pad countLayout data shows a 9-pad physical pattern in the footprint structureDatasheet drawing also suggests 9 padsLooks consistent mechanically
Symbol completenessOnly 2 electrical terminals are definedDatasheet does not define a symbolAmbiguous, but likely intentional if only feed/return are meant to be exposed electrically
Assessment
  • Good: the official datasheet is now attached, and the mechanical footprint appears broadly consistent with the datasheet's 9-pad style.
  • Main issue: the project currently exposes only 2 terminals, while the package drawing appears to have 9 solder pads.
  • Important nuance: this is not automatically wrong for an antenna part. It may be that only 2 pads are electrically meaningful and the remaining pads are mechanical / ground / support features. But the datasheet extract I could retrieve does not explicitly confirm that, so I cannot validate the current pin mapping with confidence.
Recommended next fixes

PriorityAction
HighAdd Manufacturer Name = Quectel
HighAdd Package or Case Code based on the mechanical package naming you want to use
HighManually inspect the datasheet drawing page to confirm whether pads 1-4 and 7-9 are ground/mechanical pads, and whether only pads 5-6 are intended as electrical terminals
MediumAdd pin descriptions once the pad functions are confirmed
MediumTighten the project description to match the datasheet wording: embedded LPWA/ISM / LTE SMD PCB chip monopole antenna
If you want, I can do the next pass and populate the missing metadata fields, then propose how the two exposed terminals should be labeled based on the footprint and antenna application.
