TLC555CDR Part Audit

I’m reading the current metadata, pin table, symbol, and footprint now; then I’ll validate each against TI’s package and pinout data.
Inspecting the part definition and physical land pattern in parallel.
Audit complete. The MPN, manufacturer, 8-pin SOIC package, pin mapping, and footprint are compatible with TI’s TLC555CDR datasheet; the existing Datasheet URL was already populated, so it was not changed.
Flagged issues: malformed description (2 ??? 15 V and 2 MHz instead of 2.1 MHz), unspecified electrical pin types, and missing pin descriptions. Full specifications and geometry comparison are in TLC555CDR Part Audit.

Symbol mismatches
  • Every terminal currently has Pin Type = Unspecified; TI defines pins 2, 4, 5, and 6 as inputs, pins 3 and 7 as outputs, pin 1 as ground, and pin 8 as power supply.
  • Pin Description fields are absent. The symbol names and numbers are correct, but the requested descriptive metadata has not been populated.
  • The symbol layout is nonstandard visually: GND and OUT are on the left while VDD is on the right rather than power pins being top/bottom. This is cosmetic and does not alter electrical correctness.

  • The footprint is suitable for TLC555CDR. No pad override or quality escalation is warranted from the reviewed geometry.

  4. Optionally make the package property more precise: SOIC-8 (D), D0008A, JEDEC MS-012 AA.
