Symbol Findings

  • Primary mismatch: every terminal currently has Pin Type: Unspecified. Recommended terminal pin types:

    • VBUS_1/VBUS_2/VBUS_3/VBUS_4: Power In or Passive depending how the connector is intended to be reused; for a connector library part, Passive is often safer, but Power In gives better ERC semantics when used as a USB receptacle.
    • D+/D-, TX/RX, CC, SBU: Passive or Bi-Directional; for a connector library symbol, Passive is usually least intrusive.
    • MH1–MH6: Ground if shell/ground plate is intended to connect to shield/ground, otherwise Passive.

  5. Verify the footprint pad dimensions against JAE’s official drawing/land pattern before publishing/using in production.
