I’ll create a 9V battery LED blinker at ~1 Hz with an on/off switch using hand-solderable through-hole parts.
- Add: NE555 (DIP-8), [Red LED 5mm THT](Red LED 5mm), [Resistor 1/4W THT](Resistor 1/4W Through-Hole) x3 (two timing, one LED), [100nF Capacitor](100nF Capacitor) (decoupling), [Timing Capacitor](10uF Electrolytic Capacitor), [SPST slide switch THT](SPST slide switch through hole), [9V battery snap](9V battery snap).
- Wire 555 astable: tie pins 2+6, connect R1–R2–C between VCC/threshold/trigger/discharge, add 0.1 µF across VCC–GND, drive LED via series resistor from pin 3.
- Size for ~1 Hz and 5–10 mA LED, keep resistor power ≤ 60% rating and capacitor voltage with ≥ 60% derating margin.
- Label nets and run ERC.
