CRC/DRC Status Check

The value change is in, and review found the expected manufacturing issue because R8 no longer had a matching MPN. I’m assigning a real 3.3 Ω, 1210, 0.5 W resistor MPN now and re-checking.
Updated the CT burden for the 40 A peak primary current target.
What changed:
  • R8 changed from 100 Ω to 3.3 Ω
  • Package changed to SMD_1210_3225Metric
  • Power rating set to 0.5 W
  • Assigned MPN: Yageo RC1210FR-073R3L
  • Verified R8 now calculates to about 1.32 V peak at 40 A peak primary current with the PA1005.020QNLT 1:100 CT, dissipating about 0.264 W for sinusoidal current.
Review result:
  • Re-ran project checks at 2026-06-12 19:55:09 UTC
  • No open ERROR, WARNING, OPEN, or UNCERTAIN issues were reported.
Remaining caveat: this fixes the burden on this project’s CT path, but the linked low-voltage control board may still need its own CT burden/PLL values updated separately. Your account currently has no available ACUs, so I can’t continue into that project right now.

Tesla Coil Driver System Design Notes
Architecture Updates
  • Project refactored toward a two-board Tesla coil system with separate hazardous-voltage power and low-voltage control partitions.
  • Power-board mains input/protection stage was added with first-pass fuse, MOV, NTC, EMI filter, and bleeder network.
  • Hazardous-voltage placement was optimized and a rollback point was documented before placement cleanup.
Manufacturing Cleanup
  • Replaced generic protection clamp parts LED1 and LED2 with real library parts: SMAJ5.0A-TR.
  • Both parts now use SMA package library components with manufacturer metadata and datasheet association.
  • Original net connectivity was restored exactly after replacement:
    • LED1: anode on Net 1, cathode on SW_NODE
    • LED2: anode on Net 3, cathode on GND
  • Purpose remains unchanged: fast clamp/protection around the gate-drive path.
Verification Intent
  • Manufacturing review should no longer report missing manufacturer part numbers for LED1 and LED2.
  • ERC/DRC must remain clean after this replacement.
