Connector Orientation Note
Scope
This note defines the FFC/FPC connector orientation that future left and right controller-wing boards must match for the RP2040-Zero Controller Carrier REV A.
Carrier Connectors
- JLEFT: Molex 0528081471 / 528081471, 14-position, 1.00 mm pitch, vertical FFC/FPC connector on the carrier left edge.
- JRIGHT: Molex 0528081471 / 528081471, 14-position, 1.00 mm pitch, vertical FFC/FPC connector on the carrier right edge.
- The cable inserts vertically/upward into the carrier connector first, then bends toward the left or right wing. Maintain vertical clearance above both connectors.
Required Wing-Board Matching Rule
The future left and right wing boards must be pinned so the mating FFC cable presents the same numbered conductor mapping to the carrier connector pins listed below. Do not assume the wing board can reuse the same physical footprint orientation without checking cable contact side, fold direction, and pin-1 side.

Bring-Up Warning
Before plugging in wings, continuity-check the FFC cable end-to-end and verify carrier pin 2 routes to the wing 3V3 rail, carrier pins 1/13 route to wing GND, and no signal conductor is swapped by cable flip/contact-side assumptions.
