You want to expand from 3 to 12 relays. I’ve prepared a plan that’s ready to run:
  1. Replicate the K1–K3 channel nine more times (K4–K12) with drivers, base resistors, flyback diodes, and terminals.
  2. Add/control 12 lines from U2 or via a GPIO expander and wire each driver.
  3. Review/resize the 5 V buck around U1 for the added coil load.
  4. Integrate and net-label all new channels COM/NO/RELx.
  5. Enlarge/arrange the PCB, place/route, then update BOM and run checks.

I’ve staged a plan to expand from 3 to 12 relays. It’s ready to run:
  • Replicate the K1–K3 channels to K4–K12 with drivers and flyback diodes.
  • Provide 12 control signals from U2 or add an expander; wire each driver.
  • Re-evaluate and upsize the 5 V supply around U1 for total coil current.
  • Update nets/connectors, place/route, and run ERC/DRC.
Click Start on the plan bar to execute.

This project is a plant care system that uses an ESP32-S3-MINI-1U-N8 microcontroller to automate plant care tasks. This system includes three Songle relays, multiple resistors, capacitors, and transistors, all powered at 3.3V, 5V, or 12V. It also incorporates a USB Type-C connector. #referenceDesign #edge-computing #edgeComputing #espressif #template #iot #ESP32 #relay #reference-design
