Part Information Review and Verification

Completed the part review and created a detailed report: USB4960-00-C Part Verification.
No pin-number/signal mismatches were found. Main flags: terminal pin types/descriptions are incomplete, the datasheet URL is distributor-hosted instead of direct GCT-hosted, and footprint pad geometry could not be fully verified from the exposed layout data.
Fix the terminal pin types and add proper pin descriptions from the datasheet.
I’ll update each terminal with the datasheet signal description and appropriate electrical pin type, then re-read the schematic to verify the metadata was applied.
Terminal metadata is updated; I’m verifying the pin types and descriptions now.
Updated all 20 terminals with datasheet-derived Pin Type and Pin Description metadata.

Footprint Cross-Check
The PCB layout contains pad nodes matching all 20 schematic terminals: A1, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, A9, A12, B1, B4, B5, B6, B7, B8, B9, B12, S1-S4, represented by functional designators. It also contains two mechanical mount pads MH1 and MH2, consistent with through-hole stakes/shell retention features.
The searchable layout data confirms pad presence and footprint assets (USB496000C.kicad_mod, USB4960-00-C.stp) but did not expose per-pad geometry/coordinates. Therefore, I could verify pad count and naming coverage, but not independently validate every pad dimension/location against the recommended PCB layout from the indexed project data.
Mismatches / Issues Flagged
  1. Terminal Pin Type properties are all Unspecified. This is not a pin-number mismatch, but it is incomplete metadata. Recommended improvements: set GND/SHELL as Power/Ground, VBUS as Power, CC/SBU/D+/D- as passive/signal as appropriate.
  2. No explicit Pin Description property is populated on terminals. The terminal designators carry the signal names and pin numbers are correct, but adding descriptions such as GND, VBUS, CC1, D+, D-, SBU1, etc. would improve library quality.
  3. Datasheet URL is distributor-hosted rather than direct GCT-hosted. A datasheet URL already exists, so I did not update it. If preferred, replace it with https://gct.co/download?name=USB4960.pdf&type=PDFDrawing and optionally add the product spec URL as a reference.
  4. Footprint geometry could not be fully verified from exposed layout data. Pad node names/count match, but detailed dimensions/coordinates were not available through the readable project index.
Overall Assessment
The part metadata, pin count, schematic terminal mapping, and footprint pad coverage are broadly consistent with the USB4960-00-C datasheet. No electrical pin-number/signal mismatches were found. The main recommended cleanup is improving terminal metadata and, if desired, changing the datasheet property to the official GCT-hosted drawing URL.
