Pin Function Grouping

2:00

Searching for pin details.

Looking for "Complete pin table with pin numbers, pin names, and short pin functions for all pins including exposed pad." in BQ24075TRGTR.pdf

Looking for "What are the power pins and ground pins, including exposed pad, with pin numbers?" in BQ24075TRGTR.pdf

Looking for "What are the control, status, and programming pins with pin numbers?" in BQ24075TRGTR.pdf

Yes. Using the datasheet’s pin table, here is a deduplicated functional grouping for the bq24075 variant. I’ve put each pin in one group only, so pins are not repeated across categories. The pin names and functions come directly from the datasheet pin table

Pin Groups

GroupPinsWhy they belong together
Power InputIN (13)Main external input supply pin
Battery / Power PathBAT (2, 3), OUT (10, 11)Battery node and system output / power-path pins
GroundVSS (8), Thermal Pad / EPGround return; datasheet says the exposed pad is internally connected to VSS
Charge / Input ProgrammingISET (16), ILIM (12), TMR (14)Pins used to program fast-charge current, input current limit, and safety timer behavior
ControlCE (4), EN1 (6), EN2 (5), SYSOFF (15)Charger enable, USB/input-current mode selection, and system enable control
Status OutputsPGOOD (7), CHG (9)Open-drain status indication outputs for input-valid and charging state
Monitoring / SenseTS (1)Battery temperature monitoring input via NTC divider
If you want Flux-style Pin Group names
A clean way to assign them would be:

Table

PinSuggested Pin Group
TSTS
BAT, BATBAT
CEControl
EN2, EN1Control
PGOOD, CHGStatus
VSS, EPGround
OUT, OUTOUT
ILIM, ISET, TMRCharge_Program

Notes
  • For the bq24075, pin 15 is SYSOFF. The datasheet shows TD on pin 15 only for the bq24072, not for the bq24075
  • The thermal pad should be grouped with ground, not as a separate power pin, because the datasheet states it is internally connected to VSS
If you want, I can turn this next into:
  • a Section assignment,
  • Pin Group assignment,
  • and Pin Type assignment for every terminal in your part project.

1.5A USB-Friendly Li-Ion Battery Charger and Power-Path Management IC with 4.2 VBAT The BQ24075TRGTR (from Texas Instruments) is a highly integrated single-cell Li-Ion / Li-Polymer linear battery charger IC with power-path management. It is designed for portable and space-constrained applications, allowing a device to be powered from a USB port or AC adapter while simultaneously charging the battery. The device integrates charging control, power-path management, and safety features into a compact package. A key feature is its Dynamic Power Path Management (DPPM), which ensures the system is powered even when the battery is low or absent, while intelligently managing charging current. Key Features Battery Charging Supports single-cell Li-Ion / Li-Polymer batteries Up to 1.5 A programmable charge current Three-phase charging: Pre-charge (conditioning) Constant current Constant voltage Fixed 4.2 V charge voltage Power Path Management Dynamic Power Path Management (DPPM): Powers system and charges battery simultaneously Prioritizes system load over charging Allows system operation even with: Deeply discharged battery No battery connected Input & Power Features Operates from: USB input (100 mA / 500 mA selectable) AC adapter Programmable input current limit up to 1.5 A Input voltage range: ~4.35 V to 6.4 V (28 V max rating) Input dynamic power management (VIN-DPM) prevents source overload Protection & Safety Thermal regulation and shutdown Over-voltage protection (OVP) Short-circuit and reverse current protection Battery temperature monitoring (NTC thermistor input) Battery disconnect (SYSOFF) feature Control & Status Standalone operation (no MCU required, resistor-programmable) Charge status outputs: Charging Charge complete Power good Physical Characteristics Package: 16-pin VQFN (3 mm × 3 mm) Operating temperature: –40°C to +85°C #commonpartslibrary #integratedcircuit #powermanagement #batterycharger
