Work done
  • Set the official Datasheet URL to the u-blox ANNA-B112 PDF and updated project metadata including Manufacturer Name, Package or Case Code, Operating Voltage, Operating Temperature, Connectivity, and a datasheet-aligned description
  • Verified the attached part assets and confirmed the footprint currently has 52 pads; I also reviewed the terminal set against the datasheet pin table and kept the part at 52 terminals including the exposed pads
  • Updated many terminal properties so the symbol better matches the datasheet, including Pin Description fields and corrected Pin Type values for ground, exposed-ground, RF, and crystal-related pins
  • Saved a permanent review note here: ANNA-B112 Datasheet Synchronization Review
Success criteria review
  • ✅ A valid official Datasheet URL is now set in the project properties
  • ✅ Key datasheet metadata is reflected in the project: ANNA-B112, u-blox AG, BLE 5.0, 3.6 V max operating voltage, -40°C to +85°C, and SMD-52 package details
  • ✅ The symbol-side terminal metadata was substantially synchronized to the datasheet, including descriptions and corrected pin types for the clearly defined pins
  • ✅ The footprint was checked for 52 pads and the remaining asset mismatch was clearly flagged
  • ✅ The remaining known discrepancy is documented for follow-up: footprint/symbol exposed-pad labels still use EXP while the datasheet names pins 49-52 as EGP
Next steps If you want, I can do a second pass focused only on terminal organization properties like Section, Pin Group, and Sub-symbol Designator Suffix, or help you manually plan the asset-source cleanup for the EXP -> EGP naming mismatch.

ANNA-B112 Datasheet Synchronization Review
Scope
Reviewed the ANNA-B112 part project against the official u-blox datasheet UBX-18011707 R13 dated 2025-04-04.
Official source
  • Datasheet URL: https://content.u-blox.com/sites/default/files/ANNA-B112_DataSheet_UBX-18011707.pdf
  • Manufacturer: u-blox AG
  • Device: ANNA-B112 Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0 module
Confirmed key specifications
  • Bluetooth Low Energy v5.0 module based on the Nordic nRF52832 platform
  • Operating supply voltage: 1.7 V to 3.6 V
  • Operating temperature: -40°C to +85°C
  • Package outline: 6.5 mm x 6.5 mm x 1.15 mm
  • Package style: 52-pad surface-mount module
  • Layout summary confirms 52 pads in the current footprint
  • Outer pad pitch: 0.65 mm
  • Inner pitches called out in the mechanical drawing: 0.40 mm and 0.20 mm
  • Bottom-view pad callouts in the datasheet: 48 x (0.35 x 0.35) and 4 x (0.42 x 0.42)
Project metadata updated
  • Added Datasheet URL property with the official u-blox PDF
  • Added Manufacturer Name = u-blox AG
  • Updated Package or Case Code = SMD-52
  • Updated Operating Voltage = 3.6 V to reflect the maximum recommended operating voltage
  • Added Operating Temperature = -40°C to +85°C
  • Added Connectivity = Bluetooth LE 5.0
  • Added implementation details capturing outline and pitch information
  • Updated the project description to a datasheet-aligned summary
Symbol and terminal review
  • The project contains 52 terminal components, matching the module pad count.
  • Added Pin Description properties across the symbol terminals using the datasheet pin table.
  • Corrected terminal Pin Type metadata for ground, exposed-ground, RF, and crystal-related pins so the symbol metadata better matches the datasheet usage.
  • Pins 17 and 18 are intentionally represented as XL1/GPIO_17 and XL2/GPIO_18 because the datasheet exposes both LF crystal and GPIO roles.
  • Pins 19-38 and 45 also have mode-dependent naming in the datasheet, so the symbol retains combined aliases where appropriate.
  • Pins 49-52 are described in the datasheet as EGP exposed ground pins and must connect to GND.
Asset review
Attached assets present in the part project:
  • XCVR_ANNA-B112.kicad_mod
  • ANNA-B112 ANNA-B112_0_0 Symbol.svg
  • ANNA-B112.step
Flagged mismatches / follow-up items
  • The footprint/layout pad names for pins 49-52 are still labeled EXP in the project assets, while the datasheet names these pads EGP.
  • A rename of the exposed-pad terminal designators did not persist in the current project state, so the project still uses EXP labels even though the pin descriptions now explicitly state that these are datasheet EGP ground pads.
  • No additional footprint-file editing was performed in this pass; only metadata and terminal properties were synchronized.
Conclusion
The part metadata now points to the official datasheet and reflects the main electrical and mechanical specifications. The schematic terminal descriptions are substantially aligned with the datasheet. The remaining known discrepancy is the exposed-pad naming convention (EXP in project assets vs EGP in the datasheet), which should be corrected in the footprint/symbol asset source if exact datasheet naming is required.
