Part Data Review and Datasheet Update

Reviewed and updated the part data for Würth Elektronik 7461147 / WP-BUFU REDCUBE PRESS-FIT.
  • Added official datasheet URL to all 16 terminal entries:
    https://www.we-online.com/components/products/datasheet/7461147.pdf
  • Confirmed MPN 7461147, manufacturer Würth Elektronik, product family WP-BUFU REDCUBE PRESS-FIT, internal thread M5, 16 pins, 2.54 mm raster, 7.62 mm × 7.62 mm pin field, 180 A max rated current @ 20 °C, -55 °C to +150 °C, brass/tin, tray packaging.
  • Symbol pin count matches the datasheet: 16 terminals.
  • Footprint pin count and grid match the datasheet: 16 pads on a 4×4, 2.54 mm pitch array spanning 7.62 mm.
  • Flagged mismatch/risk: the footprint pads appear as 1.8 mm circular pads, but I could not confirm an explicit plated drill/hole size in the current footprint data. Datasheet requires press-fit PCB holes around Ø1.475 ±0.05 mm for chemical surfaces or Ø1.45 ±0.05 mm for HAL, with specified copper/tin plating. This should be verified/encoded in the footprint before manufacturing.
  • Pin descriptions are currently generic/unspecified; for this mechanical press-fit terminal that is acceptable electrically, but they could be improved to describe each as a press-fit current-carrying terminal/pin.
Update the footprint with the datasheet press-fit drill and plating requirements.
I’ll update the 16 press-fit pads to through-hole plated pads with the datasheet drill requirement, then verify the footprint rules afterward.
Updated the footprint for all 16 WP-BUFU press-fit pads.
Applied to each pad:
  • Pad type: plated through-hole
  • Drill: Ø1.475 mm
  • Drill tolerance encoded: 1.425–1.525 mm
  • Annular copper: all copper layers
  • Solder mask expansion from hole edge: 0.0 mm
Verified the updated pad rules after applying them. The selected review checks report no current errors/warnings. Note: the datasheet also specifies plating requirements externally for fabrication: 25–60 µm copper and finish-dependent limits, so include those in fabrication notes/order instructions.
