PCB Project Guidance

Below is a summary of the schematic updates to add the new components to your design:
  • OLED Display:
    • Add an OLED 128 x 64 0.96inch component with designator OLED1.
    • Interface its I²C signals (SCL, SDA) to the ESP32’s I²C bus (for example, connect to ESP32 pins IO21 and IO22).
  • GPS Module:
    • Add a NEO-6M-GPS component with designator GPS1.
    • Wire its UART interface (TX, RX) to an available UART channel on the ESP32 (e.g., TX to ESP32’s U2_TX, RX to U2_RX – select appropriate pins as per your design).
  • Environmental Sensor:
    • Add a BME280 component with designator BME1.
    • Connect its I²C interface on the same bus as the OLED display.
  • Power and Ground Considerations:
    • Ensure all new components are powered from the appropriate 3.3V supply.
    • Place decoupling capacitors (e.g., a 0.1µF capacitor per power pin as needed) and connect all grounds to the Ground component.
