PCB Layout Overview

You’re looking at the PCB Layout editor in Flux, specifically in its 3D‐camera view. Here’s what you’re seeing:
  • Center panel
    • Showing your board in 3D so you can inspect component placement, silkscreen, copper pours, etc.
    • You can rotate (click-drag), pan (middle-mouse), and zoom (scroll) to examine details.
  • Left panel
    • Library & project tree (hidden here behind the 3D view) for adding parts or navigating sheets.
  • Right panel
    • Inspector, AI Chat, and ERC/DRC tools (collapsed while you’re in 3D).
If you want to switch back to the 2D PCB view, click the “2D” icon in the top toolbar (or press V then choose “2D View”).
why did this pop up after importing a model kicadsym
I believe you’re seeing Flux’s KiCad‐importer dialog—Flux “Importing Components” popup that helps you map and bring your KiCad symbols into Flux’s library.
“Leverage the Flux importer to seamlessly transition your component library from KiCAD.”
You can also explore more in the Flux Documentation or ask the community:
Map symbol to footprint
Fill missing fields
Reuse mapping template
Verify pin assignments
