Work completed:
- Updated project description to include the S13360-30350VE component with MPN, manufacturer (“Hamamatsu”), and datasheet URL.
- Added a generic two-pin component and a generic diode component, then renamed both to “S13360-30350VE.”
- Configured the schematic symbol’s pins:
- Pin A set to type Anode and name A
- Pin K set to type Cathode and name K
- Populated component properties: MPN, Manufacturer Name, and Datasheet URL on the S13360-30350VE symbol.
Work not done:
- The PCB footprint for S13360-30350VE has not been created (pin geometry, pad sizes/spacing, silkscreen marker). Flux currently does not support deriving footprints automatically from mechanical drawings.
Success criteria review:
- The library now contains the S13360-30350VE component with its schematic symbol and correct properties.
- The symbol pins are correctly named and typed.
- A matching PCB footprint is still missing, so placement in PCB layout will fail until the footprint is added.
Next step:
Manually create the PCB footprint in the library based on the datasheet’s mechanical drawing (pad dimensions, spacing, and silkscreen polarity marker). Once that’s in place, you can place the component in both schematics and PCB layout without errors.
