Footprint Routing Check

In https://linear.app/buildwithflux/issue/FLUX-13783/part-quality-issue-emi2121mttag
you mentioned: EMI2121MTTAG project footprint pads are rejected by auto-route preflight as blocked/unroutable; targeted routing cannot resolve D1-D5 pads by designator/pin even with exact names and 0.10 mm width.
Not sure what is wrong and what should be changed. check it again
I’ll re-check the footprint geometry, pad connectivity, and router preflight behavior, then identify whether the part itself or the earlier report was wrong.
I re-checked it. The earlier conclusion was incorrect.
  • This is a part project, containing a footprint but no PCB layout node. Router preflight therefore fails with “No layout node found in document”; that is not evidence that its pads are blocked.
  • Pins 1–8 and their footprint mapping match the datasheet.
  • Pad 9 represents the exposed pad tied to GND, although the datasheet’s electrical pin table only numbers pins 1–8.
  • The D1–D5 targeted-routing failures were also not a valid footprint test; those were test-board designators/endpoints, not evidence of malformed source pads.
Conclusion: no footprint pad geometry change is justified from FLUX-13783. The correct next validation is to place the part on an ordinary PCB test project, connect short breakout nets to pins 1–8, and run router preflight there. The previous ticket statement should be corrected or closed rather than changing these pads.
