Button Grid Expansion

I found the ADS1259BIPW in the library and verified the key datasheet pins: SPI pins, DRDY, START, RESET/PWDN, AVDD/DVDD, reference pins, and required bypass/reference handling. The current project is a read-only template, so I’m preparing the exact implementation plan rather than making partial edits that cannot be saved.
I’m blocked from editing this project because your access is view-only on the Arduino Uno R3 Shield Template.
Planned implementation for an editable fork:
  • Add 2× ADS1259BIPW ADCs.
  • Power: ADS1259 DVDD to Arduino 3.3V or 5V, analog supply per chosen input range, with required decoupling/bypass/reference capacitors.
  • Shared Arduino SPI: D13/SCLK, D11/MOSI→DIN, D12/MISO←DOUT.
  • Separate chip selects: D10 → ADC1 CS, D9 → ADC2 CS.
  • Data-ready lines: D2 → ADC1 DRDY, D3 → ADC2 DRDY.
  • Control: shared START and RESET/PWDN on spare digital pins.
  • Add 2 LEDs with series resistors on spare GPIOs, e.g. D6 and D7.
Fork or duplicate the template into a project you can edit, then I can add and wire the parts directly.
Add after fork
Use 3.3V DVDD
Check ADS1259 datasheet
Add LED resistors

Template for Arduino Uno R3 Shield. Include an official pinout so you will always know Arduino names, the alternative roles of pins, which one is SDA, or SCL, etc. On PCB you can find the 3D model of the Arduino Uno R3 itself along with the board outline on the silkscreen. #Arduino #Uno #Shield #Template #project-template #project
