Ferrite Bead Search

Work done
  • Preserved the board at 18 mm × 22 mm, 1 mm corner radius, 0.3 mm inset/keepout, and Standard 4 Layer stackup.
  • Re-arranged all 25 components using both top and bottom layers, with connectors kept accessible near the board edges and passives moved near their related IC/power blocks where possible.
  • Re-checked the board after placement: footprints are present and copper-overlap checks are clean.
Success criteria review
  • ✅ Board dimensions preserved: 18 mm × 22 mm.
  • ✅ Corner radius and keepout preserved: 1 mm radius, 0.3 mm inset/keepout.
  • Standard 4 Layer stackup maintained.
  • ✅ Components distributed across top and bottom layers.
  • ⚠️ Placement is improved, but the board remains extremely dense, so a few clearance/edge-access constraints could not be fully satisfied within the fixed outline.
  • ❌ Remaining unrouted connections still need routing before final manufacturing checks can be clean.
Next steps
Run routing/autorouting next, then re-check the board. If the remaining tight-clearance issues must be fully eliminated without reducing component sizes, the practical options are increasing the board size or changing footprints/components. One configured external integration is disconnected, but it did not affect this PCB layout work.
route the connections
I've made a plan, and started work on it.

Started implementing a plan

#Goal

- Route all remaining PCB connections for the Xenacious Turquoise Dejarik project while preserving the current 18 mm x 22 mm board size and Standard 4 Layer stackup. Ensure the existing top/bottom component placement is maintained, airwires are resolved, and all routing/DRC issues are verified.

#Implementation plan

1. Validate Board and Assembly

1. Confirm board outline is maintained at 18 mm x 22 mm.

2. Verify Standard 4 Layer stackup configuration.

3. Review top/bottom component placement to ensure correct positioning.

2. Route Power and Critical Signal Nets

1. Prioritize routing of power and ground nets using auto-route tools.

2. Apply manual adjustments if necessary to preserve design rules.

3. Complete Routing of Remaining Signals

1. Route all remaining unrouted nets using auto-routing.

2. Focus on resolving any persistent airwires while observing the 4-layer routing strategies.

4. Post-Routing Verification

1. Re-run DRC checks.

2. Verify that all airwires are resolved and no design rule violations exist.

3. Make targeted routing adjustments if necessary to meet all layout constraints.

#Success criteria

- Board outline remains at 18 mm x 22 mm and adheres to a Standard 4 Layer stackup.

- All components remain in the current top/bottom placements.

- No remaining unrouted airwires and all connections are properly routed.

- DRC passes with no violations after final checks.

Execution stopped due to insufficient credits.

I’m unable to continue routing because execution credits are exhausted. Up to this point, the project had been resized to 18 mm × 22 mm, kept as a Standard 4 Layer PCB, and components were arranged across top and bottom layers; what remains is to run autorouting, verify that all airwires are cleared, and re-check DRC for any routing/clearance violations.
