Temperature and Humidity Sensor Node Design

I’m blocked because this project has no execution credits available, so I can’t add components, wire the schematic, consult datasheets, run review, or create project documentation right now.
Current project state:
  • Project is still empty.
  • Components: 0
  • Nets: 0
  • No schematic or layout changes have been made.
What remains to be done once credits are available:
  1. Rename/project-define it as a USB-C powered Wi-Fi/BLE temperature and humidity sensor node.
  2. Select the core parts:
    • Ultra-low-power Wi-Fi + BLE 5.x MCU/module, likely ESP32-C6 / ESP32-C3 class depending on exact power and feature targets.
    • Digital temperature/humidity sensor, likely I²C.
    • USB-C receptacle configured for 5 V default-source operation.
    • Power-path protection: reverse protection, overvoltage protection, undervoltage lockout, overcurrent protection, and ESD protection.
    • 3.3 V regulator sized from a full power budget for 0.5–3 A USB-C source compatibility.
  3. Build the schematic with:
    • USB-C CC resistors for sink mode.
    • Input fuse/current protection.
    • OVP/UVLO/load-switch or eFuse stage.
    • 5 V to 3.3 V regulation.
    • MCU/module with required boot straps, decoupling, programming/debug access, and RF antenna keepout.
    • T/RH sensor with pull-ups and decoupling.
  4. Verify every IC against datasheets.
  5. Run schematic review/ERC and fix all violations.
  6. Create bring-up and firmware starter notes.
  7. After schematic approval, proceed to PCB placement and routing.
Once credits are available, I can continue from the empty project and build the full validated schematic first.
