I’m blocked from executing changes because the workspace has run out of available credits, so I could not add components, wire the schematic, consult datasheets, or run design review.
Current project state:
Components: 0
Nets: 0
No schematic work has been performed yet.
What remains to be done once credits are available:
Rename the project and create a project specification for the USB-C environmental sensor node.
Select a dual-radio Wi-Fi + BLE 5.x MCU/module, likely ESP32-C6/S3-class or similar, with low-power support.
Select a digital temperature/humidity sensor, preferably I²C, consumer-grade, low-power.
Design the USB-C 5 V input stage:
USB-C receptacle with CC pull-downs for default 5 V sink behavior.
Reverse-current protection.
Overvoltage protection.
Undervoltage lockout.
Overcurrent protection sized for 0.5–3 A sources.
Design protected power regulation from USB-C 5 V to the MCU/sensor rails.
Add required decoupling, pull-ups, boot straps, programming/debug access, antenna keepout, and any required RF layout constraints.
Verify all IC wiring against datasheets.
Run schematic review/ERC and fix all violations.
Create bring-up, firmware, and regulatory documentation for a consumer Wi-Fi/BLE device.
Once credits are available, I can proceed with the schematic design from scratch and pause for your confirmation before moving into PCB layout.
