Input Gain and Volume Control Design

  • Project description updated to “Hand-Gesture Car Transmitter with Arduino Nano, nRF24L01, and MPU6500”
  • System architecture defined in Mermaid and stored in project properties
  • Major ICs and modules placed: Arduino Nano header/module, nRF24L01 wireless module, MPU6500 IMU, 3.3 V LDO regulator, PCA9306 I2C level shifter
  • 0.1 µF decoupling capacitors added at each IC power pin
Tasks remaining
  • Add 10 µF bulk capacitors near the LDO output and at each module power input
  • Add 4.7 kΩ pull-up resistors on SDA/SCL lines
  • Place connectors (USB power, battery input, programming/test header)
  • Wire power nets (VIN/5 V → LDO IN, LDO OUT → 3.3 V, common GND)
  • Wire SPI nets between Nano and nRF24L01
  • Wire I2C nets through PCA9306 to the MPU6500
  • Wire control pins (nRF24L01 CE/CSN, LDO EN)
  • Review schematic completeness, adjust passive ratings, assign footprints
  • Define board outline, layer stackup, ground pour, mounting holes, and preliminary component placement
Success criteria status
  • ✅ Arduino Nano, nRF24L01, MPU6500, LDO, decoupling caps, and level shifter are in place
  • ⚠️ Bulk capacitors, I2C pull-ups, full net wiring, connectors, and PCB prep are still pending
Next step Add the 10 µF bulk decoupling capacitors and the 4.7 kΩ I2C pull-up resistors in the schematic to complete the supporting power network.
