@docbrown how does c2 work?

Great Scott! Capacitor C2, which is a non-polarized capacitor with a capacitance of 1uF and is in a C_0603_1608Metric package, is an essential component in the Bloody Copper Neuralizer project.
Capacitors store electrical energy temporarily, and this particular capacitor can work in either direction due to its non-polarized nature. In a typical circuit, C2 might be used for filtering, energy storage, or coupling and decoupling applications. However, since I can't see the entire circuit, I cannot assure you its specific purpose. To provide more precise information, please share the complete schematic or details about the connections around C2.

@docbrown make a voltate divider from 5v to 2.5v

Great Scott! Sure thing, we can design a simple voltage divider to reduce 5V to 2.5V. You'll need two resistors with equal resistance values.
Here's the schematic:
  1. Add two resistors: R2 and R3.
  2. Connect the 5V portal to the first resistor (R2).
  3. Connect R2 and R3 in series.
  4. Connect the second resistor (R3) to ground.
  5. Take the output voltage (2.5V) from the connection between R2 and R3.
To get a 2.5V output, you can choose resistors with equal values (e.g., two 10kΩ resistors). The output voltage is determined by the following equation:
Vout = Vin * (R3 / (R2 + R3))
Since R2 and R3 have equal values, Vout will be half of Vin, which is 2.5V. Keep in mind that the actual resistor values you use will depend on the current requirements of your circuit, as voltage divider circuits are load sensitive.

@docbrown find me a 1uF 0402 capacitor

Great Scott! I found a suitable 1uF capacitor in an 0402 package for you. You can use the Murata GRM155R61A105KE15D. It's a 1uF, 10V, X5R ceramic capacitor in an 0402 package. Here's the datasheet for your reference: Murata GRM155R61A105KE15D Datasheet

@docbrown check wiring for full circuot

Great Scott! I'm unable to access the project data by user @sullylau80 directly. However, I can help you verify the wiring if you could share with me the NETLIST or provide the schematic diagram of the circuit you need help with.
If you're not sure how to proceed, please provide more information or specific queries related to a component, connection, or feature of the circuit, and I'd be more than happy to help.

@docbrown check wiring

Great Scott! Let's take a look at the wiring near the chat thread position (193.4, -516.3). Unfortunately, I don't see any components or nets near this position.
Please provide more context or specific components, and I'll gladly assist you in reviewing the wiring.

@docbrown find an alternate for c2

Great Scott! I found a suitable alternative for C2, which is a non-polarized capacitor with a capacitance of 1uF and a package size of 0603 (1608 metric).
Alternative: Murata Electronics GRM188R60J105KA01D
This is a 1uF (microfarad) ceramic X5R capacitor with a voltage rating of 6.3V and a package size of 0603 (1608 metric). The Murata Electronics GRM188R60J105KA01D is widely available and should work as a suitable replacement for the current C2 capacitor in your design.
