Uploading KiCad PCB Files

Work completed
  • Parsed the KiCad netlist and mapped symbols to existing Flux parts.
  • Set all six U1 footprints to the SOIC-8 package.
  • Recreated the +12 V and GND nets.
  • Added 0.1 µF bypass capacitors on each U1 VCC pin.
  • Added bulk input capacitors C35 and C36 on +12 V (C35:P1→+12 V, C35:P2→GND; C36:P1→+12 V, C36:P2→GND).
  • Configured the board as a Standard 2-Layer PCB.
  • Measured DP1 footprint height, set Board height to 41 mm, and updated PCB layout height.
  • Researched connector widths, set Board width to 64.5 mm, and updated PCB layout width.
  • Poured a continuous copper GND plane on both layers.
Tasks not completed
  • Assign the RK097 dual-pot footprint for DP1.
  • Assign SK34 footprints to SMD diodes (e.g., D1).
  • Assign BZX884-B12 footprints to zener diodes (e.g., D25).
  • Assign footprints and relaxed-spacing metadata for connectors J1J5.
  • Place four mounting holes at the board corners.
  • Classify nets into power, ground, and signal classes.
  • Set trace-width rules for +12 V and GND nets.
  • Final schematic/layout review and export of BOM, Gerbers, and pick-and-place data.
Success criteria review
  • Footprint assignments: partial (op-amps done; diodes, DP1, connectors, mounting holes pending).
  • Continuous ground plane: ✅ met.
  • Critical net routing and DRC: ❌ not yet routed.
  • Manufacturing files prepared: ❌ not yet exported.
Recommended next step Define net classes and set appropriate trace-width rules for the +12 V and GND nets before proceeding to component placement and routing.
