Features a logarithmic response matched to human hearing, driving 10 LEDs, LCDs, or vacuum fluorescent (VF) displays in either dot or bar mode. Operates from a single 3 V to 25 V supply, includes an adjustable 1.2 V to 12 V precision voltage reference, and provides programmable constant-current LED outputs (typically 2 mA to 30 mA) without requiring external current-limiting resistors. Supports 70 dB display range, expandable multi-device cascading for higher resolution, and offers fast analog response for real-time level indication. Specified for operation over a 0°C to +70°C temperature range and housed in an 18-pin PDIP package.
