I’ll audit the part metadata, locate the official Microchip datasheet if needed, update the Datasheet property, then cross-check symbol pins, footprint, and descriptions against the source.
The part already has a Datasheet URL set, so I’m validating that source and checking the 25-terminal symbol and 24-QFN exposed-pad footprint against it.
Review complete. The existing Datasheet URL is populated and resolves to the USB2422 datasheet, so no property update was required.
Key specs
Microchip USB2422-I/MJ, 2-port USB 2.0 Hi-Speed hub controller
3.0–3.6 V supply; industrial −40°C to +85°C
24-pin 4 × 4 mm SQFN, 0.50 mm pitch, exposed ground pad
Integrated USB termination; 24 MHz crystal/external clock support
Findings
All 25 terminals—24 perimeter pins plus exposed pad—have correct pin-number mapping.
SMBCLK/CFG_SEL0 should be named SMBCLK/CFG_SEL; the datasheet does not include the trailing zero.
Every terminal has Pin Type = Unspecified and lacks a Pin Description. These should be populated from the datasheet buffer types and descriptions.
Footprint body, pitch, pin count, and 2.6 mm exposed pad are compatible. However, its 0.30 × 0.85 mm perimeter lands differ slightly from Microchip’s datasheet land pattern of 0.28 × 0.80 mm.
The exposed pad correctly exists as pin 25, but the footprint does not include the datasheet-recommended ground thermal-via array or segmented paste apertures.
