Datasheet Part Audit

Completed
  • Corrected part metadata:
    • MPN: TPL0102-100PWR
    • Manufacturer: Texas Instruments
    • Part type: Integrated Circuit
    • Package: 14-TSSOP
    • Recorded TI package convention: PW / PW0014A
    • Added an accurate functional description.
  • Populated Datasheet URL from the supplied TI Rev. C PDF. Flux ingested and normalized the URL to its managed PDF-storage URL.
  • Verified all 14 terminals exactly match the TI pin table:
    • 1 HA, 2 LA, 3 WA, 4 HB, 5 LB, 6 WB, 7 A2
    • 8 VSS, 9 SDA, 10 SCL, 11 GND, 12 A1, 13 A0, 14 VDD
  • Added datasheet-derived Pin Description and Pin Type to every terminal:
    • Potentiometer terminals and SDA: Bi-Directional
    • A0–A2 and SCL: Input
    • VDD/VSS: Power In
    • GND: Ground
  • Symbol was not altered; pin count, numbering, names, and clockwise package mapping were already correct.
Footprint assessment and corrections
The original footprint had 14 correctly numbered SMD pads and the correct 0.65 mm pitch, but differed from TI’s PW0014A recommended land pattern:

Table

FeatureOriginalTI / corrected
Pad size1.6764 × 0.3556 mm1.50 × 0.45 mm
Row-center spacing5.6388 mm5.80 mm
Corner radiusSquareR0.05 mm
Mask expansionUnspecified0.05 mm
All 14 effective pad nodes were corrected, explicitly retained as SMD, and numbering/orientation were preserved. The existing PW0014A 3D model and package outline were retained.
Verification
  • Re-read project metadata and all 14 terminal records after mutation.
  • Confirmed 14 schematic terminals and 14 footprint pads.
  • Part-review checks returned no reported findings.
Remaining limitation
  • The imported KiCad footprint asset’s embedded source text still contains a footprint-level through_hole attribute, although every effective pad is explicitly SMD. Available tools updated the effective Flux pad geometry/type but did not rewrite the original asset payload.
Completed
  • Removed stale Logic Function: AND metadata.
  • Changed Integrated Circuit Type from Logic to the closest supported category: Data Converter.
  • Re-read the part metadata and confirmed:
    • Integrated Circuit Type: Data Converter
    • No Logic Function property remains.
    • Existing MPN, manufacturer, package, datasheet, description, and part type remain unchanged.
  • Symbol, footprint, pinout, and terminal metadata were not modified.
Completed the part audit against the official TI Rev. C datasheet.
  • Corrected metadata: TPL0102-100PWR, Texas Instruments, PW0014A TSSOP-14, dual 100 kΩ digital potentiometer.
  • Added the official TI datasheet.
  • Verified all 14 symbol pins and added accurate pin descriptions/types.
  • Corrected the footprint to TI’s 0.65 mm-pitch recommended land pattern: 1.50 × 0.45 mm pads and 5.80 mm row spacing.
  • Removed incorrect “AND logic” classification.
Key specs: two 256-position channels, nonvolatile wiper memory, 2.7–5.5 V single supply, 400 kHz I²C, ±2 mA continuous wiper current, −40°C to +85°C operation. The only remaining caveat is a stale through_hole marker inside the imported footprint source; all effective Flux pads are correctly configured as SMD.
