I’ll inspect the part metadata, find the official datasheet if needed, update the Datasheet property, then verify symbol pins, footprint, and descriptions against it.

The part already had a datasheet, but it points to an uploaded PDF rather than TI’s canonical URL. I found the official TI datasheet and will update the Datasheet URL to the stable TI link before finishing the cross-check.

Reviewed SN74HC165PWR against the official TI SNx4HC165 datasheet and updated the Datasheet URL to: https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/sn74hc165.pdf.
Key specs: Texas Instruments SN74HC165PWR, 8-bit parallel-load shift register, PW/TSSOP-16, 2–6 V operation, −40°C to 125°C, 0.65 mm pitch, TI example land pads 1.5 mm × 0.45 mm.
Findings / mismatches:
  • Symbol pin numbering matches the datasheet pinout for pins 1–16.
  • Functional names match, including SH/~LD, CLK, CLK_INH, SER, QH, and complementary ~QH.
  • Pin type and pin description properties are mostly unset/Unspecified; these should be filled from the datasheet.
  • Footprint has 16 pads in the correct TSSOP arrangement, but the computed pad geometry appears scaled incorrectly: pads show about 0.00045 mm × 0.001475 mm instead of TI’s example 0.45 mm × 1.5 mm. This is the main issue to fix.
  • Project/package metadata should explicitly reflect PW / TSSOP-16.
Suggested next steps:
  1. Fix the footprint pad scale to the TI PW0016A TSSOP-16 land pattern.
  2. Add pin descriptions and pin types for all 16 terminals.
  3. Add package/property metadata: Package or Case Code = PW, Mount = SMD, Pin Count = 16, operating voltage and temperature.
