Symbol and terminal audit
The symbol contains 15 terminals: 12 numbered electrical terminals and 3 mounting-hole terminals.

Table

Project pin(s)Official functionCross-check
1–2: VOUT_1, VOUT_2Regulated fixed 5 V output, duplicated for current capacityPass
3–6: GND_1 through GND_4Ground, duplicated across connector rowsPass
7–8: VIN_1, VIN_2Input supply, 5.5 V to 50 V for D36V50F5Pass
9–10: VRP_1, VRP_2Input rail after reverse-polarity protection; can be used as an output or as an input that bypasses reverse protectionPass
11: ENEnable input; internal 100 kΩ pull-up to VIN; low below 1.2 V enters sleep, high above 1.35 V enablesPass by name
12: PGOpen-drain power-good output; external pull-up requiredPass by name
MH1–MH3Three mechanical mounting holes for #2 or M2 screwsPass
Symbol issues
  1. All terminal Pin Type fields are Unspecified. This is incomplete and weakens ERC. Recommended classifications:
    • VOUT: Power Output
    • GND: Power Input or Ground/Power
    • VIN and VRP: Power Input (VRP is bidirectional in some use cases, but Power Input is the safer default for normal module use)
    • EN: Input
    • PG: Open Drain / Open Collector output
    • MH1–MH3: Mechanical / passive, depending on available type choices
  2. Pin descriptions are absent. Names are correct, but functional descriptions should explain duplicated power pins, VRP bypass behavior, EN thresholds/default pull-up, and PG open-drain behavior.
  3. The symbol pin inventory and naming match the official module connections. Exact numeric ordering was compared with the modeled footprint inventory; no contradictory pin mapping was found in the available official drawing/product data.
Footprint audit
Confirmed matches
  • 15 pads are present: 12 electrical through-hole connector pads and 3 mounting-hole pads.
  • Electrical connections are arranged as duplicated VOUT, GND, VIN, and VRP plus single EN and PG connections, consistent with Pololu's product documentation.
  • The connector pattern is intended for a 2.54 mm (0.1 in) grid.
  • Official connector drill diameter is 1.02 mm for 12 connector holes.
  • Official mounting-hole diameter is 2.2 mm for three holes, intended for #2 or M2 screws.
  • The rendered body outline is 25.4 mm square, consistent with the nominal 1 in × 1 in product size.
  • Footprint and STEP assets are present.
Verification limitations / risks
  • The structured layout inspection exposed pad identities but did not expose each pad's baked XY coordinate, copper diameter, drill diameter, plating, or layer set. Therefore, the exact 1.02 mm connector drills, 2.2 mm mounting drills, 2.54 mm pitch, and mounting-hole coordinates could not be numerically proven from the current project representation.
  • The footprint renderer did not display the pads in the flat preview even though all 15 pad nodes exist. This may be a rendering/indexing limitation, but it prevents visual confirmation of hole geometry.
  • Silkscreen includes overlapping placeholder/reference text (<Default Property Placeholder>, PS#, and PS**) at the same location. This is a footprint-quality issue and should be cleaned up before publication/use.
  • No courtyard/package metadata is set. The official assembled height is approximately 9.5 mm without optional headers.

High priority
  1. Change Part Type from Diodes to a regulator/power-supply-module classification.
  2. Assign electrical Pin Type values instead of Unspecified, especially for VIN, VOUT, EN, and PG.
  3. Numerically verify the raw footprint against Pololu's dimensional drawing: all pad coordinates, 1.02 mm connector drills, 2.2 mm mounting drills, 2.54 mm grid, and board/body datum orientation.
Medium priority
  1. Add description: 5V, 5.5A step-down voltage regulator module, 5.5V–50V input.
  2. Add package/mount metadata such as Through-hole module, 25.4 mm × 25.4 mm.
  3. Add detailed pin descriptions, particularly EN and PG behavior and the VRP bypass function.
  4. Remove overlapping placeholder/reference silkscreen text and retain a single readable reference/value scheme.
Informational
  1. The configured Datasheet URL is official but is only the mechanical dimension drawing. Keeping it satisfies the existing property, but an additional product-page/resource link would better cover electrical behavior if the library supports another documentation property.
