"ACT1210D Audit" completed.
Completed the official TDK datasheet audit and corrected metadata, pin descriptions, 1.05 × 0.40 mm pads, displaced graphics, and the symbol-side placement of pins 3/4. Final bounds are 4.10 × 1.60 mm copper and 3.35 × 2.85 mm silkscreen, resolving the malformed 20.67 × 6.1 mm geometry reported in FLUX-16301.
  • FLUX-16295’s issue body was inaccessible, so its exact complaint could not be independently attributed.
  • Binary limitations prevented independently recomputing the 3D mesh bounds; the existing model otherwise passed available scale/orientation checks.

Part Audit Report
Independent re-verification — 2026-09-11
Result: PASS after one definite symbol correction. The footprint, metadata, ratings, and resolved 3D placement remain acceptable. Independent rendered-symbol inspection found that the prior repair was not fully correct: all four terminals rendered on the left side even though terminals 3 and 4 had right-side orientation/position properties. This was corrected by separating opposite-side terminals into side-specific pin groups. No footprint or 3D asset geometry was changed.
Independent findings
  • Identity/metadata — PASS: project name and MPN are ACT1210D-510-2P-TL00; manufacturer is TDK; terminal count is 4; the Datasheet property resolves to the official TDK cmf_automotive_signal_act1210d_en.pdf; description identifies an automotive CAN-FD common-mode choke. The official family/type is ACT1210D-TL00 and it has four terminals.
  • Ratings — PASS: 51 µH at 100 kHz, +50/−30%; 3.0 Ω DCR max; 10 MΩ insulation resistance min; 80 V rated voltage; 115 mA rated current; −40 to +150 °C; AEC-Q200 compliant. The 2.3 kΩ typical common-mode impedance at 10 MHz is verified from TDK's official product page, not from the family PDF (whose 10 MHz table is Ssd21 in dB).
  • Package property — PASS with metadata limitation: physical size is 3.20 × 2.50 × 2.50 mm max; the stored Package or Case Code is R1210, a usable imperial-size label but less explicit than 3225 metric [1210 imperial]. The available safe metadata interface still does not expose this arbitrary part-library field for correction.
  • Pin mapping — PASS after correction: official top view is 1 upper-left, 2 lower-left, 4 upper-right, 3 lower-right; winding paths are 1–4 and 2–3; TDK states no polarity. Pin names remain numeric (1–4), all are Passive, and descriptions explicitly state winding, corner, and mate terminal.
  • Rendered symbol defect found and corrected: before correction, the rendered parametric symbol placed pins 1/4/2/3 at X = −96 despite right-side properties on 4 and 3. Shared pin groups spanning opposite orientations caused the collapse. After commit 1d5f1b8d, rendered endpoints are pins 1/2 at X = −96 and pins 4/3 at X = +96; upper pair 1–4 is at rendered Y = −10 and lower pair 2–3 at Y = +10. The four terminals now appear exactly once on the correct sides. The default SVG asset itself has compact viewBox bounds 114 × 43 units and four endpoints at (0,0), (0,14), (114,14), and (114,0); explicit parametric-v1 style means Flux renders the parametric symbol rather than that default SVG.
  • Pads — PASS: centers are 1 (−1.525,+0.600), 2 (−1.525,−0.600), 3 (+1.525,−0.600), 4 (+1.525,+0.600) mm in Flux's Y-up frame. Each physical pad is 1.05 × 0.40 mm, giving 3.05 mm X pitch, 1.20 mm Y pitch, and copper bounds X = −2.050…+2.050 mm, Y = −0.800…+0.800 mm (4.10 × 1.60 mm). These match the numerical callouts manually read from the official ACT1210D recommended-land-pattern drawing; the datasheet service can cite the drawing section but currently cannot machine-extract its image-only dimensional callouts.
  • Footprint graphics — PASS: the only manufacturing graphics are two 3.2 mm horizontal silk lines at Y = ±1.35 mm with nominal 0.15 mm stroke, for a stroke envelope X = −1.675…+1.675 mm and Y = −1.425…+1.425 mm (3.35 × 2.85 mm). Reference text FL** is centered near (−0.2127,+2.1947) mm at 0.8 mm nominal font size; its exact glyph bounds are not exposed, but it is local and horizontally inside the 4.10 mm copper width. The authoritative 2D render contains no remote line, circle, or malformed/displaced object. A generic Line node's baked startPosition/endPosition fields show ±5 mm, but its attached SVG payload and actual 2D render both resolve to ±1.6 mm; those generic fields are non-authoritative for the custom SVG shape.
  • 3D placement — PASS to available direct evidence: the resolved model node points to ACT1210D-510-2P-TL00.stp, at (0,0,0), rotation (0,0,0), scale (1,1,1), Z-up, with physical materials enabled. Previously recorded source-geometry measurements are body 3.20 × 2.50 × 2.50 mm, aggregate 3.98 × 2.50 × 2.50 mm, Z = 0…2.50 mm, five solids, with no remote body. This run independently verified the asset identity and transform/seating configuration, but the platform did not deliver the binary STEP/STL to the code sandbox, so those mesh-coordinate bounds could not be recomputed a second time. This is the remaining verification limitation, not evidence of a model defect.
Issue disposition
  • FLUX-16301 — resolved: current authoritative footprint geometry is compact; copper is 4.10 × 1.60 mm, silk is 3.35 × 2.85 mm, and no prior ~20.67 × 6.1 mm displaced/malformed aggregate remains.
  • FLUX-16295 — resolved for all observable part defects after this correction, but issue-to-defect attribution remains limited: the issue body is still unavailable. The pad error is corrected, and the independently discovered opposite-side symbol-rendering error is now corrected. Without the original issue text, Flux cannot prove which of those defects FLUX-16295 specifically described.
Change made by independent review
  • Commit 1d5f1b8d: changed only terminal Pin Group metadata to Winding A left, Winding A right, Winding B left, and Winding B right, preventing opposite-side pins from collapsing onto the same side in the parametric renderer. Pin numbers, electrical types, winding pair descriptions, symbol positions, footprint mapping, pads, graphics, and model were preserved.
Scope and issue references
Audited TDK ACT1210D-510-2P-TL00 against the official TDK product documentation and checked the defect reports FLUX-16301 and FLUX-16295.
  • FLUX-16301: the accessible project context reports malformed/displaced footprint and body graphics with prior aggregate bounds near 20.67 × 6.1 mm. This condition is no longer present after repair.
  • FLUX-16295: the Linear page was not readable outside Linear (loading/network shell only), and indexed project history contains no distinct defect details. The full metadata/symbol/pad/graphics/model audit was therefore used to cover any additional defect. A separate manufacturing-pad discrepancy was found and corrected: the old pads were 1.05 × 0.60 mm on 1.00 mm row pitch, while the ACT1210D drawing requires 1.05 × 0.40 mm on 1.20 mm row pitch.
Official documentation
The exact ordering code is ACT1210D-510-2P-TL00, in TDK's ACT1210D-TL00 automotive common-mode-choke family.
Verified electrical and application data
  • Common-mode inductance: 51 µH, +50/−30%, at 100 kHz.
  • DCR: 3.0 Ω maximum.
  • Insulation resistance: 10 MΩ minimum.
  • Rated current: 115 mA maximum.
  • Rated voltage: 80 V maximum.
  • Common-mode impedance: 2.3 kΩ typical at 10 MHz (reference), per the official TDK product page.
  • Operating temperature for ACT1210D-510: −40 to +150 °C.
  • AEC-Q200 compliant.
  • Intended for automotive CAN/CAN-FD systems; the datasheet does not state a specific CAN-FD bit-rate limit.
  • No separately labeled withstand-voltage rating/test condition is given; 80 V is the rated-voltage specification, not a separately documented hipot value.
Pin and winding mapping
Official top-view numbering:

Table

Physical cornerPin
Upper-left1
Lower-left2
Upper-right4
Lower-right3
Winding paths are 1–4 (upper signal path) and 2–3 (lower signal path). TDK explicitly states no polarity.
The schematic symbol preserves this mapping: pins 1/2 are on the left, pins 4/3 on the right, with upper and lower paths aligned. All four terminals are now marked Passive and have explicit winding/corner descriptions.
Mechanical and footprint verification
Official package geometry from the TDK drawing:
  • Body: 3.2 ±0.2 mm × 2.5 ±0.2 mm.
  • Overall terminal span: 3.9 mm maximum.
  • Height: 2.5 mm maximum.
  • Terminal projection references: 0.6 mm; center/end reference: 0.5 mm; coplanarity 0.1 mm CZ (4 terminals).
Official recommended land pattern:
  • Pad size: 1.05 × 0.40 mm.
  • Pad centers: X = ±1.525 mm, Y = ±0.600 mm.
  • X center pitch: 3.05 mm; Y row pitch: 1.20 mm.
  • Inner X gap: 2.00 mm; vertical inter-row gap: 0.80 mm.
  • Copper aggregate bounds: 4.10 × 1.60 mm.
Final read-back matches those values exactly. Pad/corner assignment is:
  • Pad 1: (−1.525, +0.600) mm
  • Pad 2: (−1.525, −0.600) mm
  • Pad 3: (+1.525, −0.600) mm
  • Pad 4: (+1.525, +0.600) mm
The clean silkscreen consists only of two 3.2 mm body-edge lines at Y = ±1.35 mm with 0.15 mm stroke. Its stroke envelope is approximately 3.35 × 2.85 mm. The active copper/silk geometry has no remote elements; copper remains the widest active manufacturing geometry at 4.10 mm. The reference text is centered above the device and does not create a remote aggregate bound.
3D model verification
The existing STEP asset was retained because its source geometry is physically correct:
  • Body solid bounds: 3.20 × 2.50 × 2.50 mm, centered at the footprint origin, seating from Z = 0 to 2.5 mm.
  • Four terminal solids; aggregate model bounds: 3.98 × 2.50 × 2.50 mm.
  • Total: 5 manifold solids (one body plus four terminals).
  • Model position/rotation/scale read-back: origin, 0° rotation, scale 1:1, Z-up.
  • No remote/displaced 3D geometry exists. Terminal rows visually align with the four pad rows. Because the part has no polarity, no pin-1 body marking is required.
Edits made
  1. Corrected the project description from the erroneous 130 µH summary to 51 µH, 2.3 kΩ typical at 10 MHz, 80 V, 115 mA, CAN-FD/AEC-Q200, and correct package dimensions.
  2. Confirmed/set the exact official ACT1210D datasheet URL.
  3. Added Passive pin types, functional pin groups, and explicit pin descriptions for terminals 1–4.
  4. Replaced the footprint asset with a clean source using the official ACT1210D recommended land pattern.
  5. Corrected pad Y size from 0.60 mm to 0.40 mm and row centers from ±0.50 mm to ±0.60 mm.
  6. Removed legacy displaced standalone lines/circle, malformed imported graphics, duplicate value text, and stale position rules.
  7. Preserved the correct STEP model and verified its exact source-coordinate bounds.
Remaining limitations / metadata notes
  • Flux currently flattens imported KiCad F.Fab and F.CrtYd primitives into visible top graphics in this part-project workflow. To avoid manufacturing-visible false graphics, the final active footprint intentionally contains no fab/courtyard primitives. The official body and a derived plausible courtyard envelope are documented here instead; the manufacturing pads and silk are correct.
  • The project-level Package or Case Code still reads R1210. The official size designation is more clearly expressed as 3225 metric [1210 imperial]. The available project metadata mutation interface does not expose this arbitrary library property, so it could not be safely rewritten.
  • The Linear issue bodies for FLUX-16301 and FLUX-16295 were not externally readable. FLUX-16301's defect summary came from the supplied task/project context; no distinct FLUX-16295 text was available.
