Symbol findings
  1. Primary and secondary winding names are mixed. Pins 1/4/5 must all belong to N1, while pins 10/6/7 must all belong to N2.
  2. Dot polarity is inconsistent. If + denotes the dotted end, pin 1 should be N1+ and pin 10 should be N2+; pins 4/5 should be N1-, and pins 6/7 should be N2-.
  3. Pin descriptions are missing. Every terminal currently has Pin Type Unspecified, with no Pin Description, Pin Group, Section, orientation, or terminal-order metadata.
  4. N.C. pins are correctly identified by number, but should have explicit descriptions such as “No internal connection; leave electrically unconnected.”
Footprint cross-check
The official recommended land pattern specifies:
  • Two pad columns separated by 22.66 mm center-to-center
  • 3.75 mm vertical pitch
  • Pads 2.92 mm × 1.52 mm
  • Left column pins 1 through 5; right column pins 6 through 10
The current footprint’s computed pad geometry corresponds to:
  • X positions approximately ±11.33 mm, giving 22.66 mm column spacing
  • Y positions ±7.50, ±3.75, and 0 mm, giving 3.75 mm pitch
  • Pad size 2.92 mm × 1.52 mm after the applied 90° rotation
  • Ten rectangular SMD pads in the correct two-column sequence
Result: The copper pad geometry and pin count match the datasheet-recommended land pattern. No pad-position or pad-size mismatch was found.
Footprint limitations / items not fully verified
  • The available computed layout data did not expose detailed solder-mask expansion, paste-mask apertures, courtyard, fabrication outline, or silkscreen primitives from the imported .kicad_mod; these were not independently confirmed.
  • The 3D STEP model is present and rotated 90°, but exact body-to-pad alignment and body dimensions were not numerically exposed for a full model fit check.
  1. Rename symbol terminals to align with the official winding mapping:
    • Pin 1 → N1+
    • Pins 4, 5 → N1-
    • Pin 10 → N2+
    • Pins 6, 7 → N2-
  2. Add explicit Pin Descriptions for all ten terminals.
  3. Assign winding-based Pin Groups/Sections (Primary, Secondary, No Connect) and meaningful pin types; keep N.C. pins explicitly marked.
  4. Optionally replace the stored uploaded-copy Datasheet URL with the canonical official Würth URL for long-term traceability, although the existing property was not missing and therefore was left unchanged in this audit.
  5. Visually inspect the footprint silkscreen pin-1 marker and STEP model alignment before publishing or manufacturing.
Overall assessment
  • Metadata: Mostly correct; manufacturer naming is abbreviated and the datasheet property points to an uploaded copy rather than the canonical manufacturer URL.
  • Symbol: Not correct for use as-is because the primary/secondary winding labels and dot polarity do not match the datasheet pin mapping.
  • Footprint: Copper land pattern matches the official dimensions and pin arrangement based on the exposed geometry.
  • Pin descriptions: Incomplete; all terminals lack descriptive/function metadata and are typed as Unspecified.

SMPS Flyback Transformer for Capacitor Charger Applications – Surface-mount flyback transformer designed for capacitor charging circuits, isolated DC-DC converters, industrial power supplies, medical equipment, test instruments, laser drivers, photoflash systems, and embedded power applications. The Würth Elektronik 750032052 is part of the WE-FB Series, optimized for use with the Analog Devices (Linear Technology) LT3751 capacitor charger controller. It features a 10 µH primary inductance (measured at 10 kHz), 18 V to 30 V primary input range, and 1000 Vrms isolation voltage, providing efficient energy transfer in high-voltage capacitor charging designs. Constructed for surface-mount assembly, it operates over a −40°C to +125°C temperature range and is housed in a compact 21.97 × 28.70 mm footprint with an 11.58 mm maximum height, making it suitable for high-reliability industrial and embedded systems.
