1N4148 Datasheet Review

Reviewed and updated the diode part metadata. I set the datasheet to the official onsemi 1N914/1N4148-family datasheet: https://www.onsemi.com/pdf/datasheet/1n914-d.pdf, and set the manufacturer metadata to ON Semiconductor.
Open items / mismatches:
  • MPN was originally generic/ambiguous (DIODE); the footprint/model assets indicate a 1N4148-style axial diode, and metadata now resolves as 1N4148.
  • Terminals are still only 1 and 2 with Pin Type: Unspecified; datasheet expects diode polarity: cathode is the black-band end, anode is the opposite end.
  • Footprint is a 2-pad through-hole axial DO-35/DO-204AH style footprint with ~32.56 mm pad spacing, 1.295 mm pads, 0.787 mm drills. This is mechanically compatible with bent-lead axial use, but it does not itself document anode/cathode descriptions in the terminal metadata.
  • Component review check tool errored on the final run, but datasheet extraction now works from the updated project metadata.

  • Average rectified current: 200 mA
  • DC forward current: 300 mA

  • Body: 3.05–4.56 mm long, 1.53–1.91 mm diameter
Suggested next steps:
  1. Rename terminal descriptions to Cathode and Anode.
  2. Set pin types to Passive.
  3. Confirm pad 1 maps to cathode before publishing/using this part.
  4. Add a concise description like “1N4148 small-signal switching diode, DO-35 axial.”
