Adjustable Voltage Regulator Design

I’m blocked from making project edits right now because execution credits are exhausted, so I cannot add components, wire the schematic, read datasheets, or run review checks in this session.
Current project state:
  • Empty project
  • 0 components
  • 0 nets
  • Draft name still unchanged: “Popular Blue X-Wing”
What remains to build from your reference image:
  • Add an LM317 adjustable regulator circuit
  • Add input capacitor, output capacitor, adjust capacitor, R1 = 240 Ω, adjustable R2/potentiometer, and protection diodes
  • Wire it per the LM317 datasheet adjustable regulator application circuit
  • Choose R2 value/range based on your desired output voltage range
  • Add input/output connectors
  • Verify power ratings, capacitor voltage ratings, diode orientation, and regulator thermal dissipation
  • Run schematic/ERC review before moving to PCB layout
Key missing design requirement:
  • Desired input voltage range and desired adjustable output voltage range/current are needed to size R2, power dissipation, connectors, and layout copper properly.
