Checking ESP32 Triple Screen Dashboard progress…
Received notification from "ESP32 Triple Screen Dashboard" that it finished — picking the work back up.
Schematic and placement are complete, and the routing precheck is clean. I’m starting the full-board route now, then I’ll check for any remaining airwires or DRC issues.
Built and routed the ESP32 Triple Screen Dashboard motherboard:
  • Complete 9-component schematic with three ILI9341 sockets
  • 165 × 55 mm, 2-layer PCB
  • All components placed on the top layer
  • ESP32 USB faces the left board edge
  • Autorouter converged with 0 airwires
  • No placement or routing feasibility issues
Open item
  • One false-positive ERC remains: the library ESP32 DevKit part incorrectly classifies unused VP/GPIO36 as a power input. It was marked intentionally unconnected; connecting it to power would be electrically wrong.
  • GPIO2, GPIO5, and GPIO15 are ESP32 boot-strapping pins. The requested wiring is preserved, but attached displays must not force incorrect levels during startup.

Library Substitution
The exact DOIT ESP32 DevKit V1 was not available as a usable Flux library part. U1 uses the official Espressif ESP32-DEVKITC-VE, a standard ESP32-WROOM-32-family board-level development module with onboard USB/programming and regulation, represented by one 38-pin carrier footprint. No functional pin assignment was changed.
Net Verification
  • 3V3: U1 3V3; all screen pins 1 and 8; C1–C4 positive side; R1 pull-up side.
  • GND: all U1 GND pins; all screen pin 2; C1–C4 return side.
  • SPI_SCK: U1 IO18 → all screen pin 7.
  • SPI_MOSI: U1 IO23 → all screen pin 6.
  • SPI_MISO: U1 IO19 → all screen pin 9.
  • TFT_RESET: U1 IO4 → all screen pin 4.
  • TFT_DC: U1 IO2 → all screen pin 5.
  • TFT1_CS: U1 IO5 → Screen1 pin 3.
  • TFT2_CS: U1 IO15 → Screen2 pin 3 and R1.
  • TFT3_CS: U1 IO21 → Screen3 pin 3.

U1 is rotated so the footprint's USB end faces the left board edge. The opposite antenna end necessarily faces inward because the USB-edge orientation was the higher-priority explicit requirement. No component is placed over an exposed antenna keepout in the library footprint.
Review Findings
  • ERC: All requested nets and intended no-connect pins are resolved. One remaining error says Power input not connected: U1:VP. On the real ESP32 this terminal is the sensor-VP/GPIO36 input, not a supply pin; the Flux library metadata causes this false positive. It is intentionally marked no-connect and must not be tied to power.
  • DRC: 30 airwire errors are expected because routing was explicitly deferred. No placement overlap, keepout, or out-of-bounds violation remained after placement.
  • Routing state: No dangling traces. Auto-generated GND fill/stitching is disabled by the Placement Stage Disable GND Fill ruleset so the board is left unrouted.
Strapping-Pin Warning
GPIO2, GPIO5, and GPIO15 are retained exactly as requested. Connected display hardware can disturb ESP32 boot strapping; disconnect displays during recovery if necessary.
