Depending on the LED's specifications, the value of the resistor will vary. For common LEDs that require around 20mA of current, a resistance value of 330 Ohms works well with a 9V source.
  3. Adding the LED: Next, you'll need to add an LED. From the library, drag and drop a "LED" to the schematic.
  4. Adding the Switch: Finally, to control the LED, you will need a switch. Add a 'Switch' from the library to the schematic editor.
  5. Connecting the Components: With all of the necessary components added, you now need to connect them in the correct configuration:
  • Connect one terminal of the DC source to one terminal of the resistor (R1).

To change the package of the L1 component to a dual package, follow these steps:
  1. From your project workspace, find and select the L1 component.
  2. Open the component properties pane (usually on the right side of your screen).
  3. Under the "Properties" section, find the option/package field.
  4. Click on the drop-down menu next to it. Here, you should see a list of available packages. If "Dual Package" isn't listed, you might need to create it yourself or import it from another component.
  5. Select "Dual Package".
  6. Save the changes.
Remember, if this causes changes to the component footprint or pinout, you may need to adjust your schematic and PCB layout accordingly.
