PCB Design for Keyboard Buttons

a pcb with a keyboard like buttons

Thought for a moment

I’m currently blocked because execution credits are unavailable, so I can’t add components or wire the PCB in this session.
Current project state:
  • The project is still empty: 0 components and 0 nets.
  • No schematic, layout, or keyboard button matrix has been created yet.
What remains to be done:
  • Define the keyboard style: number of buttons, layout shape, and whether it should connect by USB, Bluetooth, or simple header pins.
  • Add pushbuttons/switches, a controller if needed, pull-up/pull-down resistors or diode matrix if using many keys, and power/connector circuitry.
  • Wire and review the schematic, then move to PCB placement and routing.
A good beginner-friendly starting point would be a small 4-button or 12-button macropad PCB with tactile switches and a USB-capable microcontroller.
