What to keep in schematic:
L1 = Common Mode Choke, custom DER-801 / 30-04099-00, 20 mH, mains EMI input choke, substitute TBD
Minimum substitute requirements:
- Common-mode choke, 2 windings, for AC line input
- Common-mode inductance ≈ 20 mH
- Current rating ≥ 1.5 A RMS, preferably 2 A
- Rated for 90–277 VAC mains input
- Safety/insulation suitable for offline AC line use
- Adequate creepage/clearance and hi-pot rating
- Low DCR / acceptable temperature rise
- EMI impedance suitable for conducted EMI filtering
Do not use ACT1210-110-2P-TL00 for this position; that is a small signal/low-current common-mode choke style part, not a mains input EMI choke.
For circuit completion, the schematic should show:
- L1: “20 mH common-mode choke, custom DER-801 / 30-04099-00 or approved mains-rated substitute”
- L2: 470 µH differential-mode inductor
- L3: 1.8 mH common-mode choke
Because this is a power-path/EMI part, it must be sized from load/current and safety requirements; the selection should not be guessed. The power-path guidance requires current budgeting before sizing such parts, and inductor current rating/saturation must exceed operating current with margin .

I’ll search for a mains-rated ~20 mH common-mode choke suitable for the DER-920 input EMI position, then compare current rating and package so we can choose what to keep for L4.

I searched the library: no suitable mains-rated ~20 mH, ≥1.5 A RMS common-mode choke is available.
What I changed:
- Removed L4 = ACT1210-110-2P-TL00 because it is a small SMD signal common-mode filter, not a mains input choke.
- Kept L1 as the DER-920 input EMI choke placeholder.
- Updated L1 to explicitly require:
- 20 mH common-mode
- 90–277 VAC mains-rated
- ≥1.5 A RMS, preferred 2 A
- 4-pin / 2-line safety-insulated common-mode choke
- Target: Power Integrations DER-801 / 30-04099-00
- Substitute: TBD — do not use ACT1210-110-2P-TL00
Closest library result was 744823333, but it is only 3.3 mH, so it does not match DER-920’s 20 mH requirement.
