Sure, we can wire the RP2040 and the Adafruit ILI9341 TFT LCD display together. Here's a basic wiring guide:
  1. Power Connections:
    • Connect VREG_VOUT of the RP2040 to VCC of the ILI9341. This will provide the power to the display.
    • Connect GND of the RP2040 to GND of the ILI9341 to complete the power circuit.
  2. SPI Connection:
    • Connect GPIO4 (SPI0_RX) of the RP2040 to the MISO pin of the ILI9341.
    • Connect GPIO3 (SPI0_TX) of the RP2040 to the MOSI pin of the ILI9341.
    • Connect GPIO2 (SPI0_SCK) of the RP2040 to the SCK pin of the ILI9341.
    • Connect GPIO5 (SPI0_CSn) of the RP2040 to the CS pin of the ILI9341.
  3. Control Pins:
    • Connect GPIO6 of the RP2040 to the D/C pin of the ILI9341.
    • Connect GPIO7 of the RP2040 to the RESET pin of the ILI9341.
  4. Touchscreen SPI (Optional):
    • Connect GPIO8 (SPI1_RX) of the RP2040 to the T_DO pin of the ILI9341.
    • Connect GPIO9 (SPI1_TX) of the RP2040 to the T_DIN pin of the ILI9341.
    • Connect GPIO10 (SPI1_SCK) of the RP2040 to the T_CLK pin of the ILI9341.
    • Connect GPIO11 (SPI1_CSn) of the RP2040 to the T_CS pin of the ILI9341.
    • Connect GPIO12 of the RP2040 to the T_IRQ pin of the ILI9341.
  5. Backlight Control (Optional):
    • Connect GPIO13 of the RP2040 to the LED pin of the ILI9341 for backlight control.
Please note that the actual GPIO pin assignments for SPI and control signals can change based on your code and configuration. Always consult the datasheets and programming guides for each component when setting up your project.
