Work done
  • Updated the project metadata and architecture for a 2S Sony NP-FZ100 charger with 9 V to 12 V DC input, 8.4 V CC/CV charging, C/10 termination, and protection requirements.
  • Added the complete charger/protection schematic around U1, including J1, F1, D1, Q1, D2, L1, J2, R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9, C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6, C7, C8, C9, LED1, and LED2.
  • Wired the protected input path, switching charger stage, battery connector BATT_PLUS / GND, temperature-sense network, charge-current programming, and charge-status indicators, then corrected accidental net merges and floating pins.
  • Added build-oriented ratings/properties including capacitor voltage ratings and a higher power rating on R2.
Success criteria review
  • ✅ The schematic now implements a 2S 8.4 V switching charger using U1 with automatic termination support.
  • ✅ Safety elements are integrated: input overcurrent via F1, input surge clamp via D1, reverse polarity protection via Q1, and battery temperature monitoring via R1.
  • ✅ Battery connections are explicitly defined on J2, and ERC now reports no floating pins, no single-pin nets, and no missing power.
Next steps The schematic is ready for physical-constraint and PCB-layout preparation. I can set stackup, trace-width/clearance rules, and placement guidance for the charger power loop next.
