SLIDE Hardware Requirements

I’ll treat the primary mechanical placements as locked, audit the board for overlaps, off-board parts, orientation issues, decoupling/support-part placement, and unrouted readiness, then clean up only the small components. I’ll leave the power-switch area flexible and won’t route yet.
Small-part placement and silkscreen cleanup are complete, but the audit found real pre-routing blockers: incomplete U2/U3/U4 power wiring and an exposed-pad conflict in U2’s footprint. I’m fixing those electrical issues now while keeping every locked primary location unchanged.
Small-component placement and silkscreen cleanup are complete, with all primary/mechanical components held fixed. No routing or copper was added.
Remaining before routing
  • Fix incomplete U2/U3/U4 power circuitry; currently 45 ERC floating-pin errors.
  • Resolve five U2 exposed-pad/footprint net conflicts.
  • Decide how to handle J1 shell pads extending beyond the board.
  • Finalize SW3 placement.
  • Re-run DRC/ERC and routing-congestion checks; 96 airwires are expected before routing.
Execution stopped because no ACUs remain.

GPIO0 is a strap pin and is reserved solely for BOOT. GPIO45/46 and memory-reserved resources are not used for application I/O. Final audit against Espressif N16R8 module documentation is required before freeze.
Required peripherals
  • Native USB Serial/JTAG or TinyUSB device
  • SPI master for CH1115 Raystar OLED
  • ADC sampling for four faders
  • GPIO capture-switch input (blocked until exact CPG135301D02 part is available)
  • I2S TX, 3-wire BCK/LRCK/DATA for PCM5102A internal PLL mode
  • UART TX at 31,250 baud, 8-N-1 for MIDI
  • GPIO output for amplifier shutdown
Startup
  1. Initialize NVS/clocks; hold amplifier shutdown low.
  2. Initialize native USB.
  3. Calibrate/configure ADC fader inputs.
  4. Reset and initialize CH1115 display over SPI.
  5. Start I2S clocks/data; release PCM5102A mute.
  6. Start MIDI UART.
  7. Release amplifier shutdown after valid audio.
Build
Install current ESP-IDF, run idf.py set-target esp32s3, then idf.py build flash monitor.
