For proper decoupling you should add capacitors on both the VI (input) and VO (output) pins of U2. In a through-hole design you typically use radial-leaded capacitor footprints. For example:
A 0.33 µF capacitor (with a THT radial-leaded footprint) on the input.
A 0.1 µF capacitor (with a similar THT radial-leaded footprint) on the output.
Make sure the chosen capacitor footprints match the physical package of your available through-hole components. If you haven’t selected specific parts yet, check the Flux library for standard through-hole capacitor footprints (commonly referenced with designators like C?) that fit your design needs.
The ability to download Gerber files is part of our premium feature set. Upgrading unlocks advanced export tools that ensure your design meets manufacturing standards and includes enhanced error checking. This helps support the platform’s ongoing development and ensures you have reliable data for production.
