, and verified its pin/peg alignment, orientation and board seating without changing the footprint pads. It’s a shared library model linked to this part—not vendor-certified exact-variant CAD—so use it for visualization and nominal clearance checks. Sources and limitations, including an existing silkscreen offset, are in Package Model Verification.

Package Model Verification
Result
Completed research, retrieval, package-asset attachment and read-only fit verification for HCTL HC-RJ45-059A-2*1-3 / LCSC C3000217. No custom geometry was authored. Existing pads, footprint shapes, rules, symbols and electrical properties were preserved.

3D Model

Design view of Package Model Verification
Provenance
The unmodified source is the JLCEDA/EasyEDA official library package linked by the exact C3000217 component. This is a shared library model named RJ45-TH_HC-RJ45-059A-2X1-4, not a separately authenticated HCTL-authored STEP for the -3 suffix. The exact C3000217 symbol links footprint UUID 18d995f672fc4ab2a474a8ba9f06ab93, whose 3D node identifies model UUID 2b2ca57db5014c6a964fd6c6ee6e8243.
The drawing identifies HC-RJ45-059A-2*1-3, revision A, units mm.

Table

FeatureEvidence and result
Drawing body width17.2 ±0.25 mm.
Drawing body depth28.3 ±0.25 mm.
Drawing body height25.3 ±0.25 mm.
Measured STEP main shellOuter side faces x=±8.6 mm; front/rear faces y=±14.15 mm; top z=25.45 mm. Width and depth equal drawing nominal; height is 0.15 mm above nominal, within stated tolerance.
Measured full STEP envelope18.8096 × 28.3002 × 28.6501 mm including projecting shield springs and tails; z=-3.2 to +25.4501 mm. Main body width must not be confused with spring envelope.
Mounting seatTwo flat support faces each 32.32569 mm² lie exactly at z=0 in source; housing core bottom is raised 0.4 mm. Tail/peg geometry extends below board seating plane. No added Z offset.
OrientationZ-up; two mating openings face -Y; rotation (0,0,0).
Datum translationModel position (-0.025,-2.21,0) mm relative to footprint. Derived from 16 signal-pin center coordinates, independently cross-checked with both peg centers. No Y-down footprint payload coordinates were used without conversion.
Alignment verification
OpenCascade cross-section of the downloaded STEP at z=-1 mm found all 16 signal pins. Their transformed centers match the 16 computed Flux pad centers to numerical precision (maximum center error less than 10⁻¹² mm). This is a geometry consistency check, not a manufacturing tolerance claim.
  • A1: (-4.47,+0.89) mm, quadrant (-X,+Y).
  • B1: (+4.42,+10.03) mm, quadrant (+X,+Y).
  • Peg centers: (-5.74,-5.46) and (+5.69,-5.46) mm, matching both existing mount centers.
  • Six shield stake center offsets versus existing pads 19/17/18/20/22/21: 0.045/0.045/0.005/0.045/0.005/0.005 mm. Model stake section sizes are 0.3×1.3 or 0.2×1.3 mm; these fit within existing 1.6/1.7 mm drill diameters at the inspected section. Pads were not moved.
Read-back of the current project confirms all 22 electrical pads and both mount centers remain unchanged. The 3D iso, bottom and right views show upright stacked ports, pins within pads, both pegs aligned, and supports seated at pad plane with tails extending down.

Limitations and noteworthy findings
Independent review: A fresh read-only inspection confirmed asset visibility, millimeter scale, orientation, visual pin/peg fit, seating and preservation of existing pads/rules. The STEP internal part identifier is RJ45-TH_FC-5921S-LED-2X1-EMI, in addition to the linked library's HC-RJ45-059A-2X1-4 name. This reinforces the shared-model provenance limitation: the model is suitable for visualization and nominal assembly checks, not vendor-certified exact-variant CAD. Exact numerical alignment and seating values above were documented during attachment and were not independently remeasured in this review.
Warning — shared model: The library associates a -4-named package with the exact -3 component. The principal body dimensions and all pin/peg landmarks were checked, but exact suffix-specific spring construction, finish and mating cavity tolerances are not independently certified. Use the model for visualization and nominal assembly checks; do not derive a precision mating part solely from it.
Warning — existing silkscreen datum: The current silk outline spans approximately y=-14.61 to +13.69 mm, while the pin-aligned STEP shell spans y=-16.36 to +11.94 mm. This approximately 1.75 mm silk-to-body Y discrepancy existed in the footprint representation and was not corrected in this model-only task. Enclosure clearance should use the checked model envelope, not the silk outline; board-edge rules may merit a separate review.
Info — checks: Automated board DRC checks returned NOT CHECKED for this part project. No clean DRC result is claimed; verification here is read-only scene-tree inspection, numerical STEP section checks and actual project 3D renders. Source drawing supports external dimensions but does not certify every modeled internal feature.
Scope status
  • Research and model retrieval: completed.
  • Asset upload and footprint model attachment: completed.
  • Pin/peg/stake alignment, seating and 3D read-back: completed, with above warnings.
  • Custom authoring: unattempted, unnecessary because a usable library STEP was retrieved.
  • Changes to silkscreen, edge rules, pads or electrical data: unattempted, outside scope.
