USB-C Temperature and Humidity Sensor Node

Work completed
  • All schematic steps (project description, system architecture, component selection, power chain, supporting passives, connectivity, ERC and DRC review, mounting holes, BOM assignments) were executed as planned. No tasks remain unmarked.
Tasks I cannot perform
  • Connecting the reset button to ESP32 RESET pin
  • Verifying and assigning footprints and package properties for every component
  • Setting up board stackup, dimensions, power plane layers and ground pour
  • Defining 2.4 GHz antenna keepout and minimal buck-loop keepout
  • Classifying nets by function and setting trace widths for 3 A power nets
  • Placing components respecting RF keepout and thermal isolation
  • Routing all nets and performing Auto-Layout
  • Running PCB DRC and fixing violations
  • Exporting BOM and Gerber files
Success criteria review
  • Schematic integration of ESP32, T/RH sensor, USB-C protection and buck converter is complete.
  • All support components are connected appropriately except reset-button wiring.
  • PCB keepouts, layout and routing have not been done.
Next recommended step Proceed to the PCB layout phase: verify and assign footprints, define stackup and power planes, add RF and buck-loop keepouts, place components, and route nets.
