Current project state:
  • New empty project: “Free Copper Power Laces”
  • No components, nets, schematic, or PCB layout have been created yet.
What remains to define before building:
  • Which phones/devices you want to support and how many ports.
  • Whether each port should provide USB OTG/data, charging power, or both.
  • Input power source: wall adapter, battery, USB-C PD, DC barrel jack, etc.
  • Required output current per phone.
  • Connector type: USB-A, USB-C, micro-USB, or phone-specific cables.
  • Whether you want a CellHasher Classic-compatible clone mechanically/electrically, or just a similar USB hub/power board.
Recommended next step when ACUs are available:
  1. Create a requirements/spec document.
  2. Select a USB hub controller or OTG architecture.
  3. Design the power tree for simultaneous phone powering.
  4. Add USB connectors, protection, current limiting, and data routing.
  5. Validate USB OTG role behavior before PCB layout.
